We’re Hiring!

We have an immediate need for three Full-time Maintenance Technicians (one for each shift) at OSI Plastics, located at 2575 Ferris Road, Columbus, OH 43224.

 

You are the key to ensuring our plastic extrusion production lines run safely and smoothly.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Performing preventative and routine maintenance on plastic extrusion equipment
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and making necessary repairs
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Assisting with training and support of production staff on the operation of equipment
  • Collaborating with other maintenance techs to optimize equipment operations and minimize downtime

 

We are recruiting for all three shifts.  All are Monday through Friday.  First shift is 6 am-2pm, second shift is 2 pm to 10 pm, and third shift is 10 pm to 6 am.  Scheduled and incidental overtime may be required.  In addition, the shift schedules are subject to change based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED is required; two years of vocational/technical school electronics program is preferred. Additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of formal education.
  • Demonstrated success in extrusion related maintenance, pipe or profile extrusion preferred, as typically acquired by 5 or more years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic and hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Able to read and understand schematics and manuals
  • Unwavering commitment to safety

 

In addition, this position requires heavy work to include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, grasping objects, and ability to see distance, up close, and in color.  There will be exposure to heat, noise, and dust.
